THEODORE PAYNE FOUNDATION
presenting:
Local Source: Life Linked to Land,
a Coastal Perspective
draws upon how California native plant gardens and landscapes restore habitat in urban environments. On the regional scale, how can we further respond to the
urgent need for efforts to build habitat and preserve biodiversity more effectively?
One important way to go local, and include
ethically sourced plants from surrounding wild habitats
for use in urban and wildland interface landscapes.
Learn about the benefits of native habitat gardens and locally sourced plants with an overview of Theodore Payne Foundation's Local Source Initiative and Long Live LA Conservation Seed Bank.
This presentation will include profiles of some locally
occuring coastal native plant species and how
they can be incorporated into landscapes.
