April Meeting Speaker

April Meeting Speaker Andrew Lasken is a Co-Director for Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife (CLAW). CLAW is a non-profit organization focused on advocacy, conservation, and education on behalf of wild animals and their habitat in the City of Los Angeles and beyond.

Andrew will be presenting on LA's unique wildlife, and the work CLAW is doing to fight the threats they face such as habitat fragmentation and secondary poisoning from rodenticide.

Prior to joining CLAW, Andrew led nature hikes for children in the San Gabriel Mountains and volunteered at a local wildlife sanctuary, where he provided behavioral enrichment for mountain lions. Andrew is an enthusiastic wildlife photographer, and his photos have been featured in Wild Planet Magazine. Andrew is a charter member of an association formed to protect open space in his neighborhood, and serves on a Citizen Oversight Committee

for Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority.
